FALLflavours...

my current fall picks*
Oh dear... It is already September and Labor Day (the unofficial end marker of the summer) has come and gone. With the changing of the seasons, come many lovely silent joys... One of which, for me at least, is new nail polish lines and nail art trends.

At work we have had the fall essie, mattese elite and O.P.I. lines for what seems like ages. But I have refused to accept that it was time for the summer brights to be put away and fall colors to make their debut. But apparently it is. And even I, though obsessed with the care free summer colors, am looking forward to the muted fall flavors...

Though I have not completely given into the darker and more toned down colors of the cooler seasons, I have gone back to adding a little golden glitz to my darker shades. I am also going through a period of metalics (silver and essie's steeling the scene) which I think will go lovely with the burnt orange and navy combos I have been seeing, as well as the continued bright clothing trends for the fall.

*fall colors listed from left to right: mattese elite chasmere blanky, opi can you tapas this, essie meet me at sunset, mattese elite the one, butter london west end wonderland, opi glow up already, essie steeling the scene, mattese elite playa de chrome, essie glamour purse, mattese elite ballroom blue

What are your fall favorites? Are you ready to put away the brights and shift gears?

can't. stop...

Apparently, I can't stop wearing my white jeans. For some strange reason I keep reaching for them with everything, most everyday (though I do not always end up wearing them). The hypothetical time is running out, the traditional cut off date is only days away, but I have a feeling I will be breaking the "rules" the upcoming seasons.

I also dared to put my "new neutral" cheetah pumps on with my almost dangerous white denim, along with my floral patterned bag-turned-clutch. I know, from past attempts, my mix and match endeavors produce interesting results. I kinda liked this test trial. Both patterned pieces are small but because of the tame colors of the rest of the ensemble, they jump out. The common link between the two patterns is black, so I kept them in the same family once again, which keeps the diversity kind of in control. Mi Piace...

We have all learned the rules are becoming obsolete, even Refinery29 tells us so. So let's be bold and continue wearing the white statement pieces...
